Born in Aylesbury, a small market town in England, Simon Harsent’s passion for photography grabbed him from an early age. He enrolled to study the subject at Watford College, and after graduating, went on to assist some of London’s top photographers. In order to pursue his passion of photography further, Simon left London and moved to Australia in 1988, where he quickly established himself as one of the country’s most exciting young photographers. After a successful decade in Australia spent working on some of the country’s most awarded advertising campaigns, Simon moved to New York to further his career as a fine art and commercial photographer.

Simon has since become one of the most awarded photographers in the world. His work has been featured in a host of magazines and books and is included in the permanent collection at both the Queensland Art Gallery and the Powerhouse Museum. New York based since 1997, Simon continues to work on award winning campaigns, in addition to developing his signature personal landscape work.
