After studying photography in his homeland of New Zealand, Matthew was eager to start working on an international platform. He moved to London and assisted some of the country’s top photographers before hitting the ground running with his very first job in the US.

Matthew credits the raw, crisp light and landscapes of New Zealand with giving him a natural, honest approach to lighting; thus giving each of his images a simple, yet beautiful look.

In 2009 Matthew settled into his new home of Brooklyn New York with his beautiful wife.
