British born Leon Steele started his career by apprenticing famed London photographer David Stewart. In 2000, Leon won the highly prized John Kobal award, sponsored by the National Portrait Gallery of London in which Leon’s work was exhibited for the 10 years prior.
Leon’s personal collection “Farmland Skies” started in Kenya in the 1990s, where his fascination with conceptual still life photography began. Leon's work was exhibited for the second year running in the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition this year, and he is about to take up residency, once again, in NYC.
